Building the business case for diversity and inclusion is passe. It is now a well established fact that the knowledge, skills, and experiences of our traditional, talent pool is limiting in the present business landscape. Whether it is gender balance, leveraging people with disabilities, generational challenges or integration of cultural or sexual minorities, organisations cannot but engage with these other segments that are an integral part of the talent pool. They now understand that a diverse and inclusive workplace is increasingly becoming the key differentiator for companies to build sustainability. Multiple perspectives and ideas are critical to organizational success and there is an economic cost attached with not being truly inclusive. It is not an easy path to take, but a path they must walk nevertheless. An organisation which does not understand this, is risking its own survival and faces the risk of becoming redundant in the near future. Leaders across the board are therefore revving up their diversity programs. And, Interweave is at the table with them to help think this through and build their competitive advantage by creating inclusive workplaces.
