Ananya DasGupta
After completing her Masters in Law from Delhi University in 1994, she decided to work in the social development sector with the NGOs. She started her journey undertaking legal literacy with marginalised and working class women in the hinterland of India. After working with various organisations, she became an independent consultant in 2016.
Her key areas of expertise lies in research and policy analysis, monitoring and evaluation and facilitating trainings on Gender Equity, Sexuality and Personal Safety with children and young adults. She is a member of ICC and continues to support organisations working with the unorganized sector to build up their POSH policies.
Through the years, she has worked with various organizations like Multiple Action Research Group; Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative; Equitable Tourism Options; Plan International (India Chapter); Terre des Homes Netherlands; Mondiaal FNV; The Building and Wood Workers International(BWI) and Enfold Proactive Health Trust.
She treasures her varied work experiences with various actors in the development sector. According to her, the most challenging and satisfying has been the journey of bringing up her two daughters singlehandedly. Her most precious possessions are her two four legged babies and those on the road near her home.
