Avani Vansia
Avani is a Change advocate, Champion of Gender Diversity & Inclusion, Cultural Transformation
Enthusiast, Talent Facilitator and a Passionate Storyteller. In career spanning over two decades, she
has designed, developed and implemented various interventions for Process improvements in
Business, Talent Development and Cultural Transformation, among others. She currently holds
position of Sr DGM – HR in L&T, where her responsibilities involve taking care of critical Change
projects in L&T Heavy Engineering and lead Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiatives at L&T Group
level. She headed Learning & Development, Talent Management & Org Excellence for L&T Heavy
Engineering for a significant part of her career. In addition to various responsibilities, she has
handled in HR, TQM and OD in L&T Heavy Engineering, she is Chairperson on PoSH committee for
Hazira.
She has done her Masters in Human Resource Management from MSU, Vadodara, where she was a
Gold Medalist in both the years. She believes learning is an ongoing journey. Over the years, she
has acquired various certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, Certification in OD from NTL, USA,
Strength Based Coaching from Gallup, Appreciative Inquiry from Mary Ann Associates, Hogan
Assessment, Certificate for Independent Director from IOD. She has completed her training to be a
ICF Certified Coach. She is currently pursuing Certified Diversity Professional Training offered by
Diversity Training University International(USA) along with Interweave(India). Her biggest learning
adventure though is Executive Masters in Change program, which she pursued from INSEAD, France.
She is passionate about Gender Diversity and has been working actively on the same within the
organization. She would like to contribute towards creating equitable opportunities for women at
workplace and in society, which in turn will create a better future for business and humanity.
